Bridport Town Hall was illuminated orange, to represent the Motor Neurone Disease Association, on 21st June to raise awareness of Global MND Awareness Day that occurs every year on 21 June.
The following Saturday (23rd) we had a street collection at Bucky Doo Square, Bridport to raise awareness and funds for our branch. It was a beautiful sunny morning and it was lovely to see so many people out and about, happy to donate spare change to us. We raised £224.13 in total (which is really great!) and we are planning to turn this into an annual event, perhaps even in other West Dorset towns for MND Global Awareness Day. Thank you to our volunteers who kindly gave up their time to stand in the heat! Most of all, thank you to everyone who kindly donated.
